Thinking About Hiring a Career Coach?

Have you ever worked with a career coach?
What was your experience?
Have you ever thought about working with a coach?
What do you hope to accomplish?

If you aren’t sure or have been turned off by a bad experience in the past, this will help.

Your coach is your partner, venting post, and guide. Your coach actively listens, sees you, understands your goals, holds you accountable, and leads with integrity. They believe in and want the best for you.

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, we recommend taking the following steps before hiring a coach:

✔️Reach out to more than one. Think of it like an interview process and they’re all candidates.
✔️Listen for their reactions as you explain why you’re reaching out.
✔️Consider their professional background. Do they know your industry, company, etc.?
✔️Do they ask lots of questions?
✔️Do you like their process and communication style? Can you afford their services?

This isn’t an exhaustive list but can help as you’re figuring out the way forward.

If you’re an employer forced to reduce your workforce or want to develop your people, a career coach is just the partner you need!

What goals do you think a coach can help you achieve?
